Comprehensive Evaluations

A comprehensive evaluation is a detailed examination of a child’s strengths and weaknesses. The therapist determines the child’s current abilities, what areas would benefit from skilled intervention, and generates a comprehensive report. If intervention is recommended, the therapist and caregivers determine a plan that meets the child and family’s needs.

Comprehensive evaluations may assess sensory integration, gross motor and postural functions, fine motor and handwriting abilities, visual motor integration, functional participation, and the need for environmental modification.
