Jill is a Board Certified Occupational Therapist with license to practice in the state of North Carolina. She graduated with a Bachelors in Health Science followed by her Masters of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Florida. Jill began her pediatric occupational therapy career practicing in Florida for several years before moving to Charlotte, NC in 2016.
In addition to Jill’s vast clinical experience with an emphasis in pediatrics, she has achieved post-graduate certification in the Therapeutic Listening protocol as well as the SOS Approach to Feeding. She is qualified to implement the Handwriting Without Tears program, Astronaut Training, Sensory Integration techniques, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, the Alert Program, as well as the Wilbarger Deep Pressure Protocol.
Jill uses her training in the DIR/Floortime model to promote joint engagement of the child while delivering quality parent education. As a skilled therapist, her goal is to prioritize the child and family’s goals in order to give them the highest level of care. She provides intervention in a playful manner that enhances the child’s skills. She creates opportunities for caregivers to reflect, learn, and successfully transition therapeutic strategies into the home and school environments. In Jill’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, reading, swimming, and cooking new recipes!
